News:
On our journey for National Health Center Week we’re going to take some time and introduce you to the Family Health Center team!!
Our offices cover 4 counties (Knox, Daviess, Martin, and Pike, in 9 buildings, over 30 schools, and we do all of that with nearly 200 staff members! We are thankful for each and every employee we have on staff for their ability to care for our clients, our organization, and our communities!!
Our first group features our billing and registration teams! Before our transition took place this group of people worked diligently to learn, modify, and perfect not just the billing system we would need but they also incorporated a pre-registration program as well. The pre-registration process is completely new to the FHC and will help our patients check in to the offices on appointment day much more easily and quickly!
Next up on our tour of offices is our Martin County Family Health Center Office! This may be our smallest office but it’s mighty and provides amazing behavioral health care services to so many! We also have staff in Shoals and Loogootee Schools!!Our providers and staff continue to train so they can provide the best care to our patients! Thank you to all our staff and the Martin County community for welcoming us with open arms!
Feel free to stop by and meet us! We’re located at 200 S JFK Avenue in Loogootee!!
Moving on down the road brings us to our Washington Avenue Family Health Center, the first and the #OG of Family Health Centers!
Serving the members of our community since 2018, this office has grown by leaps and bounds caring for everyone ages infants to adults! Primary health care is the main focus of this office but they can provide acute primary care, care for chronic conditions, and behavioral health care as well.
A hidden secret about this office…. they offer a walk in primary health clinic Monday through Friday from 8am to 1pm. As long as you’re checked in by 1pm you’ll be seen that day!! And you do NOT have to be our patient to use this service!! So if you ever wake up not feeling well or have a sick kiddo and your regular physician can’t get you in, come and see us!
Another little known fact about this office is that they accept commercial health insurance plans as well as Medicare, Medicaid, HIP, CHIP, and for those that do not have insurance we offer a sliding fee scale to determine your fee. So many options are available to you and your family by choosing to use a Family Health Center office.
Our next stop in the Family Health Center introductions is our staff from the residential group homes and Clubhouse!
The Family Health Center offers residential programming for those that have been diagnosed with a serious mental health issue and has graduated from inpatient programming but may still need some assistance before living on their own. Our staff provides care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including skills training each day.
Our Wabash Valley Friendship Clubhouse is an amazing opportunity for individuals to spend their day with others who have the same diagnosis. It’s a safe, non-judgmental place for members to hang out, work, learn, expound on their education, and engage with our community. The members have group outings and visit many local fun spots like the Red Skelton and Indiana Military Museums, putt putt, the movies and more! Both of these programs provide incredible care, skills training, and confidence boosting for their members. The smiles on everyone’s faces are rewarding! Thank you to the staff who make this all possible!!
